Anne was a staff nurse in critical care and cardiothoracic surgical intensive care for several years before moving into leadership roles. Anne held administrative positions as the Director of Acute Care Services at Waterbury Hospital Health Center, and the Nursing Director of the medical cardiology service at Hartford Hospital. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Hartford and a Master of Science degree from the University of Connecticut.
Anne’s passion to combine nursing, health policy and environmental law led her to pursue a law degree. She graduated from Western New England College School of Law in July 2007, with an emphasis on environmental law and was admitted to the CT Bar in October 2007. Prior to joining Clean Water Action, Anne worked as an environmental analyst in the Air Bureau at Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection and was the Environmental Health Coordinator at the CT Nurses’ Association. She has written and lectured extensively on environmental health topics, particularly on the health impacts associated with exposure to chemicals. Anne is thrilled to be working for CWA and coordinating the Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Connecticut.
In her spare time, Anne enjoys spending time on the Cape, kayaking, gardening and running.
