Gretchen Lee Salter is the Policy Manager for the Breast Cancer Fund. She comes from a background in both legislative and electoral politics. Her experience as an organizer, advocate and activist have helped lead to the passage of landmark legislation on radiation, cosmetics, toxic toys, biomonitoring and chemical policy reform in California and throughout the country.

Ms. Salter also serves on the California Department of Toxic Substances Control Pollution Prevention Advisory Committee as well as the Steering Committees of two statewide coalitions focusing on worker health and chemicals policy reform in California.

Previous to her work at the Breast Cancer Fund, Ms. Salter served as the Deputy Field Director and National Budget Director for the Democratic National Committee.

Gretchen received her education from the University of California Davis and the University of Washington.
