Dr. Joe DiGangi is a science and policy advisor for International POPs Elimination Network (IPEN), a network of 700 organizations in 100 countries dedicated to the reduction and elimination of toxic chemicals.

He represents IPEN on the scientific and technical working groups of the Stockholm Convention and coordinates IPEN engagement in the Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (SAICM). Currently DiGangi represents the public interest NGO sector on the SAICM Bureau and is a member of the Steering Committee for the Workshop on Hazardous Chemicals in the Lifecycle of Electrical and Electronic Products. DiGangi holds a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California-Irvine.
